How Pet It Forward Came About
Pets are family of thousands of households around the world, unfortunately, every day many pet owners have to surrender their pets because they can no longer provide the care they need.
As the world hit a devastating virus in the last months of 2019 known as the coronavirus or covid-19, it changed the world and not in a good way. As many people struggle to get back to somewhat normal, the blow of the pandemic is still financially affecting so many. I have been in the pet industry for many years, and never have I seen hundreds of pets being surrendered or rehomed by their owners because they can no longer care for them. Pets are family to many households around the world, and for many pet owners to have to make the heartbreaking decision has hit me to the core. I have decided to start a non-profit organization to fulfill my mission and passion, which is to help pets and their owners stay together! Even though we are no longer in the midst of the pandemic, pet parents continue to reach out to the Pet It Forward Foundation for assistance and resources for help. Pet It Forward has a vision to see a world where no pet parent would have to give up their beloved pet because of a financial hardship. As a 501c3 status, Pet It Forward Foundation is a non-profit organization.

What We Do
Pet It Forward Foundation recognizes how many pet owners have had to make the heartbreaking decision to either rehome or surrender their beloved pets because of financial hardships. We understand the importance of caring for pets to keep them fed and healthy in our community. The cost of vet care, food, spay, and neuter can seem overwhelming for those who are facing financial hardships. The Pet It Forward Foundation seeks funding through fundraisers, events, donations, and grants to help the community who are facing financial hardships. Our Foundation will help pay a portion of the owner’s vet bill* We donate pet food, pay for the cost of spay and neuter and some pet supplies.
*Unfortunately, Pet It Forward can not assist with vet bills at this time. However, applying for pet insurance, care credit, and/or scratchpay are great ways of helping with vet bills for the health and wellbeing of your pets.

When People Struggle, So Do Their Pets
Millions of pet owners in the U.S. face financial hardship — and it often affects their ability to care for their pets. One of the leading reasons animals are surrendered to shelters is housing restrictions, like pet bans or unaffordable pet fees. Others struggle with the rising cost of food, veterinary care, and supplies, or need help addressing health or behavioral challenges. If this sounds like you or someone you know, you’re not alone — and help is available. We’ve compiled a list of national and local resources that offer support for pet food, medical care, housing assistance, and more.
Testimonials
Ms Gina and Pet It Forward Foundation are literally an angel blessing. My 6 yr old Pomeranian, Draco, hurt his neck and I couldn't afford the x-rays that were desperately needed. This is where Pet It Forward and Ms Gina stepped in. They were able to help get the x-rays done. Thankfully no fractures or breaks, just arthritis and degenerative inflammation. Pet It Forward also helped us be able to get the prescription filled to help with the pain/inflation. Most certainly an Angel Blessing
Gina is a powerful motivator. I have seen over many years her move mountains to help those in need with their pets. Her decision to start this non-profit foundation does not surprise me, as a pet lover she tries to help in any way she can. P.S. She is a Pug fanatic!
Gina DeJulio provides professional, amazing and caring dog walking and services for people’s four legged family members. Gina is trustworthy, conscientious and all four legged pups love her. In addition to her dog walking/care services, Gina is an advocate for lost and rescued pets. Gina works closely with area rescue groups and shelters to match lost pets to their owners and help unwanted pets find loving homes.
Ms. Gina, I am very grateful for meeting Miss Gina and her foundation if it wasn’t for this amazing woman amazing person I would’ve never had cat food or litter to take care of all my foster cats! I appreciate everything she has done for me. If it wasn’t for her my babies would’ve never had the food they needed in the litter they needed at the time they needed it when fun got tight thank you Gina for your foundation and helping the community.
